DAZN Bet has officially launched a regulated online casino and sports betting platform in Ontario. This is the company's first expansion outside of Europe and it also has plans to launch in Alberta later this month. Ontario is set to be the first site for DAZN Bet in Canada and the company feels its live streaming model provides an edge.
DAZN Bet Ontario is Live
DAZN Bet casino and sports betting is live in Ontario. DAZN Bet AGCO iGaming approval was received in March 2026 and the new Ontario site launched on the 30th June.
This international sports streaming platform plans to expand into Canada and Ontario is the first step with plans to enter Alberta's regulated iGaming market once it launches.
According to Managing Director of DAZN Bet Canada, Richard Rawlinson, "To survive in an iGaming market as crowded as Ontario, operators must focus entirely on long-term customer trust."
The company believes that by combining its established sports streaming platform with betting creates a distinguished watch and wager experience for Ontario players.
Ontario currently has 47 licensed operators with 81 gaming websites and DAZN Bet is now among them. The new DAZN Bet Ontario site went live on the 30th June 2026.
Rawlinson said, "Ontario stands out as one of the most mature, competitive and highly regulated online gambling markets in North America. Ontario players have high expectations and a broad choice of operators, so success depends on delivering a differentiated customer experience."
He went on to say that the launch offers an online casino and a locally tailored sportsbook. The Ontario online casino offers slots, table games, and live dealer options.
DAZN Bet Watch and Wager Live Streaming
DAZN Bet owns a large sports media platform and operates in a number of European countries including the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, and Germany. It has millions of sports subscribers and offers live and on-demand sports via streaming in more than 200 countries around the world.
Rawlinson perceives the watch and wager business strategy will give DAZN Bet a unique edge in Ontario. The company owns the platform where people can watch games, follow scores, read news and statistics, and bet live if they choose to do so.
DAZN Bet Alberta Expected In the Near Future
The Alberta iGaming market goes live on the 13th of July and the AGLC has already released a list of licensed operators that are expected to launch in the province. In a statement, DAZN Bet said that it will expand into Alberta in the near future.
