Hard Rock Bet has officially launched in Ontario and is one of the latest entrants into Ontario's regulated iGaming market. Hard Rock Bet is a familiar name in North American gambling and it announced that the Hard Rock Bet Casino and Sportsbook are now available.
Hard Rock Bet Casino and Sportsbook for Ontario
The Hard Rock Bet Casino and Sportsbook is now available in Ontario as a website and mobile app. It offers more than 3,200 online slots, table games, and live dealer titles. The operator received a license from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) effective from the May 14, 2026.
The launch of Hard Rock Bet in Ontario is the company's first expansion north of the Canada-US border. Hard Rock Bet is already available in 10 US states. These are Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, Tennessee, and Virginia.
Ontario is the operator's 11th real money iGaming site and only the third site where both online casino and sports betting is available. The site uses technology from Playtech and our Hard Rock Bet Ontario review details everything that's available for Ontario players.
Hard Rock Digital CEO and Executive Managing Director, Marlon Goldstein had this to say about the Ontario launch. "By investing in local talent, local partnerships, and localized customer support, we're creating an experience designed specifically for Ontario players."
He also said, "Expanding into Ontario with Hard Rock Bet marks the first time we've brought our platform to an international audience."
Hard Rock Bet Ontario to Compete with Other US iGaming Brands
With Hard Rock Bet now available in Ontario it will compete with other major US iGaming brands like FanDuel, Draftkings, BetMGM, Caesars, Bet365, BetRivers, and Bally's which have all made their entry into the province's regulated market.
Hard Rock Digital, the company behind Hard Rock Bet has an office in Toronto which serves as a regional office and the HQ for its Hard Rock Games social gaming division. The company has about 200 employees in Ontario.
The company is expected to roll-out a consumer-focused marketing campaign for its Ontario online casino, and is said to be committed to building a truly local presence.
Hard Rock in Canada
The Hard Rock gaming brand has been present in Canada. The Great Canadian Casino Vancouver in British Columbia used to be called Hard Rock Casino Vancouver until it changed hands and was rebranded in 2023.
The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa opened on July 3, 2025. This $350 million land-based venue hosts 1,500 slot machines, 40 table games, a high-limit gaming area, a 150-room hotel, a Hard Rock Live theatre, and more than 10 restaurants and bars including a Hard Rock Café.
Is Hard Rock Bet Alberta on the Cards?
With Hard Rock Bet gone live in Ontario, the question is whether it will launch in Alberta. The regulated Alberta iGaming market launched on 13 July 2026 with 22 Alberta online casino going live on launch day.
Hard Rock Digital is not on the Alberta Gaming, Liquor, and Cannabis list of registrants. The company has remained tight-lipped about whether or not it has plans to secure licensing in Alberta and we can only wait to see what happens.
