Octoplay has entered the Alberta iGaming market with partnerships with seven different operators. This sees Octoplay expand its North American operations and the studio has gone live in the province giving immediate distribution of its games across seven different established gaming brands.

Octoplay Launches with Seven Alberta iGaming Sites

This is Octoplay's largest coordinated market launch to date and the studio has gone live in Alberta with seven operators. These include:

Six of the operators already have established relationships with the supplier in other markets, but PENN is a new partnership for Octoplay.

In a news release, Ralitsa Georgieva, CEO at Octoplay said, "Alberta brings together tier-one partners we have built strong relationships with across other markets, including BetMGM, FanDuel, Rush Street Interactive, Bet365, Betty, and DraftKings, alongside a new tier-one partnership with PENN."

Georgieva also said, "Having seven leading operators live on day one in a complete new region shows the trust these brands place in our content and in our ability to deliver at the pace regulated markets require."

This gives Octoplay a substantial presence in Alberta from the start and it also reflects Octoplay's ability to manage multiple integrations in the new Alberta regulated market.

Alberta is Octoplay's 20th Regulated Market

Octoplay already operates across several regulated jurisdictions in Europe, North America and other regions. The North American jurisdictions include Ontario, New Jersey, Michigan, and Alberta.

Octoplay games can be found at licensed online casinos in Alberta through the seven partnerships and the supplier also has the opportunity to expand its casino content across additional operators over time.

Octoplay secured its AGLC license ahead of Alberta's regulated iGaming market launch in July 2026 and as gambling develops in the province, Octoplay will compete alongside other established gaming content suppliers including Games Global and Pragmatic Play.

Octoplay Online Slots and Casino Games

Octoplay's focus is on slots games that elevate player engagement and entertainment. One of the key features of Octoplay games is the scatter pay that rewards players no matter where symbols appear on the reels. There is also a lock & respin feature where the reels continue to spin once wins are triggered and only stop once no new winning symbols appear.

Games include online slots with mega multipliers as well as a range of instant win games that use Octoplay's Smash feature. Popular games include Elvis Presley Burning Jackpots, Break the Vegas Piggy, Super Fire Rail Express, and Cash Storm Hold & Win. These titles and more can be played at many of the new online casinos in Alberta.

Alberta Online Gambling 60 Days In

The regulated iGaming market in Alberta launched on 13 July 2026. Initially 22 new sites launched and more have been added since. As of the 1st of October 2026, the AiGC database lists 35 legal iGaming sites that are available for Alberta players.

In the 60 days of regulated iGaming more than 50 operators have registered and Alberta is establishing its own identity. During the first 60 days verification activity increased by as much as 60% some days with spikes of up to 30% at long weekends, Alberta Day celebrations, and sporting events.

Long weekends, local events, and major sporting moments have influenced when players choose to engage with iGaming sites.

This is only the beginning of the Alberta regulated market, but even at this early state the market is providing useful signals according to GeoLocs.

As Alberta continues to mature we have already seen other provinces begin to evaluate their own regulatory futures. The topic has already emerged as part of the political conversation in Quebec where multiple parties have expressed an openness to exploring a regulated gaming market.
