Classic Casino Ontario has ties to Apollo Entertainment, which was fined $100,000 by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) for breaches in responsible gambling requirements. The fine was issued after one of its casinos didn't intervene while a member lost $2 million.
While this incident didn't necessarily happen at Casino Classic, it raises questions about Apollo Entertainment's Ontario casinos. We found it odd that there's limited information available about the casino where a player lost such a huge amount.
Casino Classic Ontario Licensing and Regulation
Casino Classic is licensed to operate in Ontario. It is registered with the AGCO and listed on the iGaming Ontario database[4] and is one of the 7 brands offering the Casino Rewards loyalty program[5].
The casino website displays an eCOGRA[6] stamp at the bottom of the landing page. The eCOGRA certification relates to game testing and published RTP information.
Classic Casino has been around since 2003, operating in Canada and international markets. The Ontario branch was launched in 2022 after Ontario introduced its regulated iGaming market.
